How It's Done
ArtCoined connects the people and records surrounding a physical fine art photograph, preserving its provenance from production through certification and ownership.
Artist
Every certified work begins with the Artist and the original digital photograph.
The Artist establishes the artwork that will become the foundation of its ArtCoined record. From this point forward, the certified physical work remains connected to that originating artwork.
Print House
The digital photograph becomes a physical fine art print.
The Print House produces the Certified Original using recorded production details, including the equipment, materials, dimensions, and other information required to establish the physical work.
Approver
The completed physical work receives independent review.
An ArtCoined Approver reviews the physical work and its recorded production information before certification. Once approved, the physical object becomes the Certified Original.
Collector
The Certified Original moves into ownership without losing its history.
The Collector owns the certified physical work while ArtCoined preserves the provenance associated with that object. Its identity remains connected to the work as ownership changes over time.
Posts for Sale
A certified work may later be offered to another collector.
When a Collector chooses to offer a certified work for sale, the artwork's provenance remains attached to the physical object so its history can continue through future ownership.
